Google Pixel 7 series is taking shape, but I don’t know if it will meet my expectations

The Google Pixel 7 series was officially announced at the Google IO event. The tech giant has been in the Android smartphone market for years, but regular customers know this mainly from the software. Users mainly associate it with the Chrome search engine and web browser. However, the company’s portfolio also includes additional applications such as YouTube, Documents, or instant messaging. Few people remember that The company has been launching the Nexus series of phones over the years. This is due to the fact that it was only available in select markets. Moreover, only true Android fanatics really care about it.

However, within a couple of years, Google was back in the phone industry for good. The Pixel 6 series smartphones were warmly received by fans, but they were admired by critics. Will the Google Pixel 7 series impress users and reviewers? Maybe we’ll find out this fall. For now, let’s try to summarize the most important information about the flagship, and I will also be happy to share my predictions about it.

Google Pixel 7 Series – Information Summary

The Google Pixel 7 series will not surprise us with its design anymore. Photos of the device were presented at the conference of the American giant. We can see a distinct horizontal bulge on the back panel. There will be improved cameras here. I admit that I like the updated design a lot. The aluminum “strap” of the camera looks more distinct than its predecessor, as it overlaps the sides of the device. When it comes to the specifications of the lenses, they will remain unchanged from the Pixel 6 series. However, you can count on the improved software here, which will improve the quality of the photos taken.

When it comes to technical parameters, let’s take a workshop on the front panel. The Pixel 7 smartphone is expected to have a screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. For the Pixel 7 Pro, the screen is rumored to be 1440 x 3120 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. As you can see, these parameters are identical to the current key tags.

We don’t know if the flagships will have a standard selfie camera or a sensor placed under the display. Google (maybe on purpose?) did not show images of the devices front panel (the image below is not official!). Oil was added to the fire through a recently filed patent from the company, which shows the camera below the screen. However, we must remember that we have seen many different patent solutions that never made it to phones.

Google Pixel 7 series

How will Google surprise us? It is difficult to say, but you can not count on revolutionary solutions, but only fix the mistakes of the predecessor.

What should the Google Pixel 7 look like?

Google Pixel 6 series remains Critics crushed it mainly because of several software problems. It is a bit annoying that the smartphone released by the company that also creates its software is not working as it should. Users have reported many strange situations that have spoiled the fun of using a clean system with a green robot on board. I admit that it was the numerous user reviews on Internet forums that prevented me from buying the flagship of the American company. I hope the Google Pixel 7 series will not have annoying problems. You can forgive Google for the mishaps in the device that was the company’s first flagship in years. But Customers will not tolerate more problems in the next flagship.

The American company was also criticized for Awesome fingerprint scanner in smart phones. Why upgrade it, better get rid of it! I’d like to see Google finally install Face ID on the device. Do you remember Pixel 4? This device has technology that you will find in vain today in Android smartphones. It’s about Project Salt, thanks to which there are special sensors on the top of the smartphone. They allowed a user’s face to be scanned in 3D and were a great biosafety. It was something like Face ID on Apple smartphones, and it’s a great solution. I don’t understand why this technology is not included in the Pixel 6 series.

Pixel 5 without Motion Sense

Google indicated that this solution needs improvement. And company representatives promised that this technology will appear in future devices. I hope to see 3D facial recognition in the Google Pixel 7. However, information and leaks so far indicate that it is unlikely. The problem with this technology is that the app developers are in no hurry to set the biometric security of Android apps for 3D face scanning. Pixel 4 series users have already complained that most banks do not support this type of biometric security, forcing the user to enter a PIN code. So Google must also provide the right tools that allow you to implement the technology easily and quickly.

I would also like the American giant to improve the operation of the camera especially for photos taken at night. I have the impression that Google is no longer competitive in this field, and Samsung and Apple took the lead. However, I believe that the company will get back on the right track and the Google Pixel 7 series will show that it can compete with the best in terms of images. I also expect an improvement in the quality of the front camera photos. It’s a pity that the company ditched the second front camera that was housed in the Pixel 3 XL model.
