Museum Night in Szczecin 2022. What do you see? [lista najciekawszych atrakcji]

Joining this year’s Museum Night in Szczecin are nearly 20 institutions in Szczecin, most of which will be open to visitors on Saturdays until midnight.

The official opening of the 16th European Night of Museums 2022 will take place at 18.00 in the National Museum building in Wały Chrobrego. METRUM’s group of Baroque culture enthusiasts will perform in the square of the Museum of Regional Traditions at 27 Staromłyńska Street. The show will start at 7.00 pm, the group will speak for themselves and then dance three baroque dances. After that, everyone will have the opportunity to take a closer look at their beautiful costumes and take a souvenir photo with the group members. 4. Non-daily visit to the police building

As part of the Museum Night, it will also be possible to visit the historical building of the district police headquarters in Szczecin at ul. Małopolska 47 (next to the Philharmonic). The facility is not available to the general public on a daily basis. Dr. Marek Schuchak will present the interesting history of the Szczecin Regional Police Headquarters, as well as the Szczecin Police Building. You will be able to see, among other things, an exceptionally beautiful meeting room with historical polychrome, the main hall of the building, the courtyard, a model of the headquarters building, a plaque commemorating the West Pomeranian Police Shepherd, the State Police Commissioner, Tadeusz Starczynski, and listen to a very interesting lecture . 5. Geological Museum

Museums Night is also a unique opportunity to visit the colorful world rich in minerals, rocks and prehistoric “stone-enchanted” creatures, that is, fossils. There’s also a real attraction waiting for visitors in the form of a new exhibition of specimens from the collection of the late Beata Zielińska, a famous collector in Szczecin. There is something to see! You will be able to admire, among others beautiful garnets, jasper, calcite and many other mineral wonders of nature. It is one of the most beautiful monuments in Szczecin. However, on a daily basis, to go on a tour of Villa Lentz, you have to buy tickets for specific times. Saturday nights at the Museums is an opportunity to see these stunning interiors for free without making an appointment. The tour will end with a display of maps titled “1888. The Illusion of Time”. On the occasion of Museums Night, the Współczesny Theater in Wały Chrobrego invites viewers of the Saturday show “Spartacus. Love in the Time of the Plague” for a guided tour of the landscape led by its author Daniel Rykarsky.
