“Isolation in Hi-Fi”. Joanna Friesel and Bartomiej Cominique Concert at RDC Studio
Next Thursday after another concert in the series “Quarantine in Hi-Fi” is scheduled for 6.00 pm in the broadcast studio of Radio dla Ciebie. On May 19, he will present a duo: eminent soprano Joanna Friesel and eminent pianist Bartomeg Komenek.

Soprano singer, three-time Minister of Culture Scholarship, Pro Polonia, ISA2012, Magna cum Laude Medal (2013), Young Poland Scholarship (2014), Les Orphées d’Or – Prix de la SACD from the Académie du Disque Lyrique ( 2016). Nominated in two categories for the 2016 Fryderyki Award for Real Life Song for Album. Winner of Polityka Passport (2017) and Koryfeusz in the Event of the Year category for her participation in Alexander Novak’s Drash (2020). Nominated four times for the 2021 Fryderyki Prize for Phonography and awarded with a statuette in the category Album of the Year, Oratorio and Opera Music for the album ahat ili – sister of the gods. She received her Doctor of Arts degree with honors in 2019.

She took part in the first performances of the Warsaw Autumn Seasons, Aix-en-Provence, Contrec Probably, Sacromé Provanum, the Silesian Quartet and its Guests, Saarima Opera Days, Opera at the Town Hall Festival, Musica Polonica Nova, Milos Aetos, etc. The Estonian National Opera, the Grand Theater of the National Opera in Warsaw and the Grand Theater in Pozna.
She appeared as Musetta in Puccini’s La Bohème; Venus and Phrygians in Dardanus of Ramo; Fiordiligi in Cosi Mozart’s fan berry; Małgorzata in Faust by Gounod; machine in Wołka thread; Susanna in Figaro gets divorced from Langer; Psychology in Eros and Psyche by Różycki; Inanna in ahat ili – the sister of the gods, she is in Drach, Agnes in Pokora and in the monodrama Maska Nowak; Ellenai in Anhelli Przybylski; Rosin at Rossini’s Barber of Seville; Hanna in the Haunted Manor in Moniuszko; Mother in Alan T Jodlowski.
She was invited to collaborate with orchestras and charities throughout Poland. He specializes in contemporary music performance (with: Hashtag Ensemble, NADAR Ensemble, Orkestr de ereprijs and Österreichisches Ensemble für Neue Musik), although he has had success using works from all eras.
He graduated with honors from the Academy of Music in Krakow in the class of Janusz Olenicaic. He has been involved in master classes by leading piano teachers, including Andrzej Jasiński, Oxana Jablonska, Lee Kum-Sing and Ryszard Bakst. He currently lectures at the Academy of Music in Krakow, where in 2015 he received the title of qualified doctor, and as of 2020, he is the head of the chamber music department at the Krakow Music Academy.
He has received numerous awards and honors at piano competitions and festivals in Poland and abroad, including in Kiel (Sweden), Glasgow and London, as well as at the Polish Piano Festival in Słupsk and the Talent Festival in Tarnów. Performs on concert theaters in Poland (Polish Piano Festival in Sobsek, Music Festival of Polish Radio in Warsaw, Festival “Bravo Maestro” at Paderewski Manor House in Kąśna Dolna, Talent Festival in Tarnów, International Festival of Contemporary Music “Warsaw Autumn”, Warsaw Meetings Musical “Music at the Tops” in Zakopane, Polish Music Festival in Krakow, International Days of Krakow Composers), almost throughout Europe, the Middle East and Japan, collecting excellent reviews. He also participated in the Chopin Festivals in Ghent (Belgium), Valdemosa (Mallorca) and Nouhan (France). He made recordings for Polish radio and television. He played the role of Fryderyk Chopin in a Japanese TV movie.
In 2005, his registration for technical studies was at E major, Op. No. 10 No. 3 is included in Chopin’s record of the most prominent Polish pianists and winners of Chopin competitions. In the same year, Giacomo Rossini recorded the small festive mass with Janusz Olinzac, the University of Gdansk choir and excellent soloists. This performance was released on an album published by the University of Gdansk. In 2010, the album DUX was released with the music of Grażyna Bacewicz, which included, among other things, Piano Quintet No. 1 arranger for piano and chamber orchestras, which was nominated for the “Fryderyk” award. In 2013, Polskie Nagrania released an album with the music of the main Croatian composer Ivo Josipovic.
In 2016, his solo album to the music of Sergei Prokofiev was released with the extremely rare group of the ballet troupe “Romeo and Juliet”. For many years, the artist has also been involved in lively chamber music and has performed with many well-known artists, orchestras and chamber groups, including Sinfonia Varsovia, Krakow Philharmonic Orchestra, Świętokrzyska Philharmonic Orchestra, Kalisz Philharmonic Orchestra, Sinfonia Baltica, Cís, Cappella Radio Polish. String Quartet “Daf” String Quartet “Camerata” String Quartet “Prima Vista”, Polish Radio Choir in Krakow, Elipita Tornica, Olga Pasicnik, Anna Radziewska, Iona Sobotka, Edita Piasica, Joanna Frizzl, Janusz Olignczak, Konstanty and Tomas Indyk, Marcin Nowcz-Nesiowski, Wojciech Michniewski, Daniel Smith, Jonathan Mann, Anna Maria Stakiewicz, Claudius Baran, Magdalena Bojanovic and Janowicz.
Since 2014, he has been performing with pianist Anna Boczar in the piano duet “Chopin Piano Duo”. The duo performs at many prestigious festivals across Europe and Asia. In 2020, the publishing house DUC released an album of works by Roman Macijuwski for piano.
Bartłomiej Kominek was invited to participate in the jury work of national and international piano and chamber competitions (including: the Rome Piano Competition, the Bialystok International Duo Piano Competition, “Let’s Play Together” in Zamo). He conducts master’s classes at many universities in Europe.
He is the author of Arranging all the orchestral works of Frédéric Chopin in the piano version with stringed quartet accompaniment, published by Polskie Wydawnictwo Muzyczne.
Since 2016, Bartłomiej Kominek has been the Artistic Director of the International Festival of Piano Songs “Duettissimo” in Krakow.
In 2019, he was awarded the Minister of National Education Medal for Special Services in Teaching.
The implementation of the “Quarantine in Hi-Fi” project was made possible by the Director of Yamaha Music Poland – Marek Lammert, who made the radio available to you in June 2020 Professional Musical Instrument – Piano Yamaha CF6. The concerts are organized by the head of the RDC – Tadeusz Deszkiewicz. Last season was started by pianists playing the Bösendorfer piano, thanks to the kindness of Mr. Sylwister Dmochovsky. Later, the performers gave their concerts on the Yamaha piano. Currently, Studio RDC offers pianists the KAWAI piano.
