Bodlega Dawida – seedlings

When to plant a poodle preferably in the spring. Annual or biennial plants are most suitable for cultivation. Bodley does not plant. Seedlings in containers or with an uncovered root are available for purchase. It is important that they are not rooted too well developed when digging out of the ground in a nursery or garden store. The safest cultivation will be seedlings in containers, where there is no risk of damaging the rootstock. In addition, they are easier to transport. Bare root seedlings are grown in nurseries in the ground with various minerals. This means that after planting them in less fertile soil, they can dry out. Budleja grows well on fertile soil, with a rather neutral reaction. It is sensitive to lack of water, and also in hot and dry weather it needs regular watering.

Cut and reproduce David’s suits

Pruning the bush is a very important component that, if done well, will ensure the beautiful flowering of the poodle. Dawid’s Budleja blooms every year on the so-called shoots of this year, unlike the twist bud that blooms on last year’s shoots. The flowers should be pruned every year in early spring. Last year’s shoots need to be cut about 5 cm from the old climber. It is also important to trim the damaged parts of the bush. At the end of summer, faded flowers can be cut.

Budlei reproduction is carried out in the summer by rooting cuttings of shoots. They are cut when the bush blooms. Ideally, seedlings should have 3 to 4 buds. It is placed in a container filled with sand. Seedlings can also be placed directly into the ground in the garden. It is important to cover it during the winter.

Budleja is a shrub that looks really strange – everyone appreciates the charm of its flowers, especially butterflies and insects. It does well in our climate, so it is worth learning about its needs, and then enjoying its agricultural and aesthetic values.
