Since the beginning of the development of Indian music, great emphasis has been placed on the aesthetic experiences imparted to the listener, and therefore, the most important in this context are: emotion, joy, and even spiritual cleansing. Indian meditation music works thanks to the combination of three arts: instrument playing, singing, and Chinese. When meditating on the sounds of Indian music, the following types of music are very important:

  • Mantra – very simple in its form, because it is chanted using one, two or three sounds that are constantly repeated, but this form is very much appreciated in spiritual development
  • Kirtans and bhajans – forms slightly different from each other, but they have one common denominator that distinguishes them from the mantra, and it is in them that the dialogue of the singer with the listener is shown, his task is to repeat the specified phrases.
